I just read on-line that favorite director Linklater is doing a movie rendetion of David Schickler's New Yorker short Story THE SMOKER. It appeared 4 years ago in the New Yorker when Schickler was maybe a year or two older than I am now. Natalie Portman's going to play the young lascivious debutante, Nicole Bonner....


To have a shorty story published in the NewYorker before age thrity you have to either a.) have boobs or b.) kick it east-coast preppy school fashion!

Schickler honestly hasn't written shit since!!!! And his book KISSING IN MANHATTAN totally sucks!!!!!
